WOW! I have been looking into blogging for awhile now...and many people always asked me what are you going to blog about. After sending a few texts to my Friend, Jessica, I found out more about this whole blogging thing and thought this would be a great way for my hubby to see how things are going while he is deployed to Iraq for a year....and now while I am pretty much a single parent, for the next year, I can have an outlet to help during this deployment.

- Born in the Bluegrass State, I called Louisville (Loo eh ville, not Looey ville, I do get mad!) home for a while until I moved around as a military brat. I went to high school and graduated in Pickering, LA (although the school doesn’t claim me). Doing whatever I could to get out of that country town eventually ending up at Fort Jackson, SC. Married young and the only thing that came out of that was a beautiful baby boy named Connor Benjamin. After having Connor, I went on a junk food binge until I met a handsome Army Drill Sergeant named Vinnie(better choice!) that lived in the same apartment complex. It was this DS that I became smitten with, whose DS sweatshirt I stole, as well as his heart and eventually married on 23 September 2005. I have traveled around the south with him from Ft. Jackson to Ft. Benning to Hunter Army Airfield and back to Ft. Jackson where we currently live. In between there, I got knocked up again and had a beautiful baby girl named Giuliana Mackenzie. Currently I holding down my own fort here at Ft. Jackson.
